# Nobody sells the layer between a set of AI skills and a working product

The gap in health coaching AI is deployment, not intelligence. Dr. Nikki Siso, a certified holistic health practitioner and founder of Conscious Kitchen, built a fifteen-skill AI assessment in [Claude](https://claude.ai/?ref=intelligence.artificialrealitymedia.com) with no technical background, then hired a developer to wire the back end together. She wants to hand a finished set of skills to a model and get a working product back. Nobody sells that layer.

## What exactly is she asking to be built?

A deployment platform that takes an existing set of AI skills and turns them into a running product, with no developer in the chain. Siso stated the request to Artificial Reality, the AI buyer-evidence podcast hosted by Galina Fendikevich, in one breath:

> "If I could just say: here's my set of skills. This is the chatbot. It's already — all the instructions are there. Here's the instructions on the platform that I want to create, what the user gets, the experience, the whole portal, data security encrypted, like in there automatically, with a really strong sense of my tone that sticks and stays, right? That doesn't fade. That would be remarkable."

Broken into requirements, the specification is unusually complete for an operator request:

- Take an existing set of skills and turn them into a deployed, working product
- Handle orchestration between agents, the layer she specifically could not maintain
- Include a client-facing portal and the user experience around it
- Build in data security and encryption without her having to specify it
- Preserve her tone across the whole interaction, without degradation
- Require no developer

## Why can she specify it but not build it?

Because the model already writes the build instructions and there is nothing to hand them to. Siso's framing of the absurdity is the sharpest line in the interview:

> "Claude gave me the instructions. I handed the instructions to the developer. If I can get the step-by-step instructions from Claude, why can't I just hand this to a model and say: build it?"

She has looked. At the time of the interview she was attending a two-day workshop in the hope of finding something that did this, and described what exists as "not an obvious user-friendly system."

## Has she solved any of it alone?

She solved the testing half, without technical training, by telling the model to role-play her clients. Siso names self-testing as a distinct gap in what she was sold: "That's the one thing that's also missing — testing itself." Then she describes the workaround she found:

> "You can tell Claude: hey, pretend like you're a user and go through and test this chatbot. And on the back end, it will go through and do a whole run and, like — yeah, got stuck here. Let me fix the code. Does great job."

Her more demanding version instructs the model to be adversarial:

> "Pretend like you're five very difficult clients. Don't answer this fruitfully. Answer almost like not wanting to answer, or give half answers — just be difficult. And it did. It ran through five different types of clients that could come with all sorts of different health conditions, and we found the bugs."

The reason it mattered is economic rather than technical. Before that, in her words, "I was finding a bug, but my developer had to fix it." A non-technical operator invented adversarial user simulation because no product offered it to her.

## What should builders take from this?

That the missing piece is connective tissue, not capability. Artificial Reality's reading: a practitioner with no engineering background can author the content, get build instructions out of a model, and invent her own test harness. Each step works. Nothing joins the steps without a person, and the person costs money she is paying now.

Three details in her specification are the ones most likely to be treated as decoration and shouldn't be. **Tone preservation** is a functional requirement in coaching, not a style setting, and she is explicit that it has to stick and not fade across a long session. **Encryption and a client portal** are named as defaults she should not have to request, because the data being collected is health data. And **orchestration between agents** is the exact layer she outsourced, which makes it the paid gap rather than the hypothetical one.

One adjacent request lands in the same place. Her current deliverable is a static ten-page PDF report. When Fendikevich proposed a living client profile instead — scores by category, trends across repeat assessments, a dashboard a practitioner can read before a session — Siso's answer was immediate: "Huge. That would be perfect. Please develop this and come back to me."

## What to do about it

If you are building agent infrastructure, the buyer here is not a developer and does not want to become one. Ship the join: skills in, deployed product out, with orchestration, a portal, encryption and a persistent voice as defaults rather than configuration. Then ship the test harness in the same box, because the operator already knows what it should do and is currently writing the prompts herself.

The question worth answering before you build anything else: how many of your customers are paying a contractor to do the step your product leaves out?
